CATHERINE JOYCE MINOGUE SIKORA

SIKORA, CATHERINE JOYCE MINOGUE, 77, passed away June 6, 2011 in Orlando, Florida. Mrs. Sikora was born February 3, 1934 in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated from Spalding College with a BA in Psychology and with a Masters in Education from Rollins College. She was an original parishioner of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Joyce taught CCD at St. John Vianney and some classes at Walker Jr. High. She proudly belonged to the Society of St.Vincent de Paul and was honored to be a Kentucky Colonel. During the time her children were growing up she volunteered with the 4-H Club and has been an active member of the Orange County Sportsmen's Association since 1962. Joyce enjoyed water skiing, boating, reading, Jeopardy! and watching classic movies. She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years,

Jacqueline and Mark Cicchini,
Zachary and Andrew Vernum; step- grandson, Christopher Greenwald and great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Greenwald. She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Gregory Sikora. A gathering for family and friends will be held, Thursday, June 9th from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Baldwin Fairchild Pine Castle Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Friday, June 10 at 11 a.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, followed by a reception at the church and then immediately following, a burial at the Woodlawn Memorial Park.
