HANSEN, BOBBIE (ROBERT) FRANCES JONES, 85, went home to be with the Lord on February 23, 2013. Born in New Orleans, LA on June 11, 1927, she moved to Valdosta, GA, at six months old. Bobbie graduated with honors from Valdosta High School, where she served as editor for her school yearbook, Sandspur. She attended Georgia State Women's College in Valdosta, GA where she met and soon married her husband. As Bobbie loved learning, she continued taking courses at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI; the University of Minnesota, the University of Georgia, and Jacksonville University. She completed her studies, as an honor graduate in the first graduating class of Florida Technological University (now the University of Central Florida), where she gave a senior piano recital. At the age of 85, she started taking violin lessons. Bobbie was an active member of the Central Florida Stroke Club for over twenty years. Through her life, she was organist in five different churches, choir director in two churches, and Sunday school teacher in several churches. After moving to Tallahassee in 2011, she attended Killearn United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and participated in Saints Alive and Bible study. The joy of her life was to love and serve the Lord, her family, and others. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, Robert Ernest Hansen; beloved mother, Frances Marian Jones McGuire; and beloved daughter, Marjorie Elizabeth Hansen Pula. She is survived by her sons Ernest R. Hansen (Teresa) Winter Springs, FL; Richard W. Hansen (Mary Beth), Oviedo, FL; Glenn S. Hansen (Jennifer), Oviedo, FL; daughters Charlene H. |

Singletary. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Assembly of God. Visitation will be on Tuesday Feb. 26, 2013 at 1 PM followed by the service at 2 PM.
