Arthur Beaman Obituary

BEAMAN, ARTHUR "WAYNE", 69, of Winter Park, FL, passed away on Sept. 12 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on June 16, 1940 in Tampa, FL to the late Marvin Lee Beaman and Robbie Bartley Beaman, he grew up in Lakeland, FL. and served in the US Army for 2 1/2 years. His passion for life served him well. Whatever task he undertook, he did so with great enthusiasm. He enjoyed working on his motorcycle and cars and sharing his automotive expertise with anyone who needed his help or advice. Wayne was an active member of the GOFASST Car Club (94-96 Impala SS) and was the Membership Chairman and the key Email Communicator for many years. Professionally, he was a successful entrepreneur, venturing in several businesses, the last of which was Discount Solar, which he owned and operated from 1992 until his retirement. Wayne's family was his priority in life. He was a devoted husband to his loving wife of 44 years, Jo Ann; a dedicated father to his admiring son, Brett Beaman, and his adoring daughter, Laura
Beaman; he was a wonderful "Big Brother" and best friend to Marty Beaman (Charlene); and thoughtful and loving Uncle to nieces, Jennifer (Graham) Clark, Kimberly (Art) Rios and Ashley Beaman. His unconditional love will be remembered forever by his family and friends. In fact, if you were lucky enough to be called his friend, you were blessed with a lifetime friendship. His great spirit, positive attitude, and willingness to help others will be missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Collison Family
Funeral Home, 3806 Howell branch Road, Winter Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice for the Comforter, 480 W. Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs, 32714. Arrangements entrusted to

Wayne was a great friend we use to hang out at the old Clervue resturant on Memorial. We have not heard from him in several years but I still think of the good times we had. I pray that God and the good memories of the past will carry the family through this time of sorrow.

Wayne was always a friend to all of us. I especially enjoyed being able to ride on the back his motorcycle in Jr. High so we could get back to school and not be late for our classes. He was always someone who would help you with anything, which showed his kindness and caring for his friends. He will be missed especially at our class reunion. My prayers have been with his family who with the love of God will show you the way to go forward everyday. I am so sorry I can not be with his family on Saturday, but my heart and thoughts will be there.
