Notice Condolences

BOST, CAROLYN SKINNER, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013 from complications of lung cancer. Carolyn was born on November 27, 1936 in Umatilla, the daughter of Lex and Virginia Skinner. Her maternal great grandparents were Nathan J. and Sevenah Trowell, the founders of Umatilla. Carolyn graduated from Umatilla High School where she lettered in basketball and was a cheerleader, she then attended Stetson University and graduated from Carnegie Institute. Carolyn was involved in the medical field as a doctor's nurse. She is survived by her husband, Louis, loving daughter, Drew and grandsons, Gage and Kaiden. She is also survived by her loving brother, Bob Skinner, Umatilla and sister, Betty Ann Colantuona of Due West, SC, a nephew, nieces and many cousins. She was loved by many family, friends and patients. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Beyers Funeral Home with Reverend Brooks Braswell officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the -Lake Sumter Unit, 1650 W. Main Street, Leesburg, FL 34748, specifying that the monies go toward Breast Cancer Awareness.
