Charles Carter Obituary

CARTER, CHARLES BUDDY, 80 of Longwood passed away May 22 due complications from congestive heart failure and pneumonia. Born August 14, 1930 Jamaica NY to Sarah (Best) and Charles Carter. He was from Sag Harbor, NY where he was an Elder, Sunday School teacher and Supt. of the Sunday School of the Old Whaler's Church. He worked for EDO Corp., Detectron and was a Bldg. Insp. for the Town of Southampton, NY. In 1980 he moved his family to Central Florida where he worked for Boland Const. where he did contract work at the Cape. He retired from Post Buckley where he taught computer programs. He was a great hobbyist, a Mason and ham radio operator. He is survived by his wife Joyce of 48 years; daughter Laura (Carter) Bornstein; son-in-law Mark andgrandson Jordan and granddaughter Kaleigh. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Collison Family Funeral Home, 335 St. Rd. 434, Longwood Sat., June 4,2011 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society American Heart Fund. Arrangements entrusted to COLLISON FAMILY FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATORY 335 E. SR 434 Longwood, Fl., 32750.
