ELIZABETH MARY YANOSHECK "LIZ" GEIGER

ELIZABETH GEIGER Obituary

GEIGER, ELIZABETH "LIZ" MARY YANOSHECK, 86, of Fern Park, passed away May 16. She was born July 29, 1924 in Dickinson, ND but grew up in Mansfield, OH where she eventually married Bob on his return from WWII. Liz was most happy when she was involved with her family, enjoying years as a Scout leader and home-room mother. She loved bingo, bowling, and (under duress) camping. Bob was transferred in 1969 to Orlando where Liz continued her volunteerism at their parish, St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church and with the Catholic Volunteers. She was so proud of her nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who always found a welcome hug, games and snacks when visiting. Liz is survived by her husband of 64 years and children Tim (Brenda) of TN, John (Ellen), Susan Werly (Steve) and Ed (Tara). A Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 861 Maitland Ave, Altamonte Springs 32701 on Thurs May 19 at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to Catholic Volunteers in Florida, PO Box 536476, Orlando, FL 32853. To honor her further, please perform an act of kindness in her memory.

Our love and prayers go out to the Geiger family. Liz and I were Bingo Buddies for many , many years. She was a "lady" that I respected and loved. We will miss her. She is now an angel in heaven.
