KATHRYN BUSH Obituary

BUSH, KATHRYN N., "Katie", 86, of Orlando, died on Aug. 10, 2011. Mrs. Bush, a retired realtor, began a writing career in her twilight years. Our beloved Goldenwriter authored two books and wrote numerous inspirational pieces and tributes for her family and friends. She was from the Atlanta area, graduating from Girls High, and was married to William E. Bush for 28 years. They lived most of those years in Memphis and Kansas City. Mrs. Bush was a realtor in Kansas City, Kalamazoo, and Virginia Beach. She is survived by her daughters, Melinda Bush and
Melanie Lee; her son-in-law, Kim Lee; and her grandchildren,
Stephanie and Grady Valentine, Cary Lee, and Miranda Lee. Her children and grandchildren adored her, and she was very active in their lives until the end. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Orlando, and resident of Orlando Lutheran Towers. Her memorial service will be Sept. 11, at 2 p.m., at the church. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to FUMCO Friends of Music.

My heart goes out to you for your loss. My mother, her sister-in-law, always encouraged her to write her stories. I am so glad she did.

May you find comfort in knowing Mrs Katie is at peace. Wating there in heaven until our own release. A golden heart stoped beating, she is now at rest. We all know, God only takes the best. You will never be forgotten you'll live on in our hearts. Feeling your love and presents, as each new day starts.I love you miss Katie and I'm going to pass my test. To be a Golden writer because I learned from the best. Thank you for the memories that are filed in my heart. God took you home on a bright sunray. Tell Shawn I love him when you pass his way. May God keep your family at peace today.

She was a wonderful woman, always with that warm hospitable smile. Loved her daughters, son-in law and grandchildren immensely. Can't think of a time I was with her when she didn't have that beautiful warm smile and wonderful spirit. Recently she wrote me a warm uplifting letter. I had composed a response in my head but not yet on paper. I'll miss her.

As my mother's sister, Kathryn has always been a very special person to me. I respect the way she cared for my grandmother, the deep friendship she shared with my mother over the years and the many ways she kept in touch with a growing and widespread family. I loved watching how she loved her family and, in return, the great love they had for her. I will miss her.

Ms. Bush was a kind and gracious lady, always ready to smile and welcoming to family newcomers. With sympathy to all of the Lees and to Mimi from all of the Valentines.
