L.R. Buckner Obituary

BUCKNER, L.R. "BOB", 84, died May 18, 2011, after an extended illness. A Navy veteran, Bob served his community on the County Zoning Board, Orlando General Hospital (now Fla. Hospital East) Board Trustee, Elder at Pershing Avenue Christian Church, Lois Holt Foundation, President Emeritus of friends of Library, currently serving over 25 years on Orlando Lutheran Towers Board. He is a 32 Mason Blue Lodge, Bahia Shriner and Elks Lodge #1079. He was predeceased by his parents and wife, Agnes. Survivors are daughter, Diane; grandson, Dylan; brothers, Pete (Cil) and Jim (Sherita); sister-in-law, Hazel; nieces and nephews; and his wife, Pat Blue Buckner; her offspring; and three grandchildren. Visitation is Friday evening, May 20, 2011, 5 to 7 p.m., with memorial services Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 11 a.m., both at Pershing Avenue Christian Church, 2000 Pershing Avenue, Orlando, FL 32806. Diane: It is with sadness that my son John told me of your Dad's passing. I appreciated all of his work, and enjoyed our times together when I lived there. I'm very happy he had Hospice care during his time of need. I am the Hospice Medical Director in Sunnyside Washington. Best wishes to you and all of your family.
