Mark Alan Manring

MANRING, MARK ALAN, age 55, died on July 21, 2010 at his residence in Orlando, FL. Mark was a 1973 graduate of Olentangy High School who was known for his charisma and likability. While building his career in the hotel industry, he and his wife, Joyce, made their home in a number of cities: Kent Island, MD, Virginia Beach, VA, Dothan, AL but spent the most time in Orlando where Mark loved taking his family to Disney. Despite struggling with the bipolar disorder to which he eventually succumbed, Mark had many good years and in his children, he added light to the world. From his second marriage, his daughter, Jessica Dallas is a social worker and author (www.sexymamamanifesto.com); from his current marriage, his daughter Rachel and her husband, Tristan Estes, are Peace Corps volunteers in Swaziland (rachandtre.livejournal.com), and her younger siblings Garrett, fifteen, and Noel, twelve, are students in Orlando. Mark is also survived by his wife, Joyce of Orlando, his mother and step-father, Marguerite and Larry Schreiber of Delaware, OH; brothers Matthew (Kathleen Ski) of North Carolina, David (Casandra) Schreiber and Daniel (Jennifer Dunlap) Schreiber; grandson, James "Spike" Dallas, cousin Karen Schwall of North Carolina; nieces, nephews and many friends near and far. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Manring, his grandmother Ruth Doherty, and his great-grandmother, Veva Schwall. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00pm.
