It is with great sadness that we had to say goodbye to Richard. He was such an encourager and hard worker for the good of Winter Garden and the people of Trailer City in particular. We are very sad that we did not learn of his service until after the fact. I personaly knew of 5 people that were planning to attend. We pray for his family and friends as they grieve the loss of this courageous man.

The loss of a family member is always difficult, but knowing my Uncle is safe and at rest in his heavenly home is a comfort to those left here on Earth. He was a very gentle and dear man.

I pray that Richard's loved ones know how much he meant to his community; he worked tirelessly to help strangers, and Heaven has one more "good guy" now. My condolences to the family--Richard will be missed.

He was a man which belevied and demonstrated with his actions that the goverment according to the Constitution, is the power that people willingly relinquish. He also understood that power corrupts and absolute power, corrupts absolutely. He beleived that one person standing for what is right is a majority and did not coward from a fight, regardless of the position or standing of the oppressors, government included. Jesus said "Why do you give preferential treatment to the rich? Do you not understand that it is they who always oppress you?" Dick, when you see him, tell him about Winter Garden.

Richard was one of the finest men I've ever known. He was a true inspiration to me during a very hard time in our lives. He proved to be a man of integrity, and an extremely good friend with the highest of moral standards. We have lost a true leader and upstanding citizen. His contributions to the City of Winter Garden are to be lauded; as he worked tirelessly for the betterment of the citizens. His absence has created an abysmal void. His love and tender care for his dear wife, Kathleen, was like none other I'd ever witnessed. I’ve been doubly blessed to know both Richard and Kathleen and you’re on my mind and in my prayers. Richard’s pain is gone now. Please accept my deepest, deepest sympathy dear Kathleen.

Your journey has ended here with us but we know you are starting a whole new life full of peace, happiness, and without pain. You fought a long battle and your strength, courage, and memories made with us will always be remembered. We love you and will see you again.

I am so sad to hear of the passing of one of my very favorite patients. I so enjoyed our talks when he would come in the office for an appointment or when he would stop by to update me on his battle that he fought long and hard. I admired his strength and his kindness even when he felt awful. My sincere sympathy to his family and friends as he will be missed. I hope you find comfort in knowing that he brought so much to so many. He always brightened my day when I would see him. Shannon from Florida Eye
