Robin Cherney

1975 - 2014 Notice Condolences Gallery
Cherney, Robin Robin Lee Cherney died unexpectedly at her home on August 23rd, 2014. She was 38. Robin was the light of many lives because of her positive spirit. She never had a bad day and she made the days of those around her happier. Robin attended Central Florida Community School through high school. Then she worked at Quest for 14 years where Katie Porta and her wonderful staff helped her learn new skills. She spent her summers at Sara's Campground in Erie, Pa. She loved reading, music, The Golden Girls, travel (especially Paris and the New York theaters) and acting. The highlights of her short life were working with the Dr. Phillips Theater Group. We are indebted to Karen Rugerio for the joy she brought to Robin as her acting teacher. Robin is deeply missed by her parents, Becky and Jerry Cherney, her sister, Buffy Cherney-Ocasio and brother in law, Jose Ocasio. Her nephew and nieces, Jerry, Anna and Carlee Ocasio also added great love and happiness to Robin's life and they greatly miss her. Her extended family, Annie, Brian, Sara, Carl and Jacob Candela and her Godparents, Michael and Myra Delaney loved her as much as she loved them. She also has many relatives and friends in Wisconsin. Robin was baptized, received first Holy Communion and was confirmed at St. Andrew Catholic Church. She joined Holy Family Catholic Church in 1987. Visitation will be at Woodlawn Funeral Home (400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Fl. 34734 / 407-293-1361) on Friday, August 30, 2014, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be at Holy Family Catholic Church (5125 S Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL 32819 / 407- 876-2211) on Saturday, August 31, 2014, at 11:00 am, with Father Robert Kurber presiding.
