Mutton, Thomas Edwin91, passed away on October 8, 2013. Mr. Mutton was born on June 24, 1922 in Steubenville, OH, and was raised in New Philadelphia, OH. He was married to his childhood sweetheart, Marjorie Knisely Mutton for 63 years. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1943, and served in the N. Africa, Sicily, and Italy campaigns. After returning from the war, Mr. Mutton joined his father-in-law on the family farm until moving to Eustis, FL. Tom was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Eustis. He and wife, Marjorie were members of the Mt. Dora Yacht Club. He was a member of the Eustis Kiwanis Club and the VFW. Mr. Mutton is survived by his son, Dr. Thomas Paul Mutton of Winston-Salem, NC, daughter, Valorie Mutton (C. Everett) Boyd of Tallahassee, five grandsons, Rett (Dr. Ransey) Boyd, Blair (Elizabeth) Boyd, all of Tallahassee, Thomas Edwin II (Jennifer) Mutton, of Charlotte, NC, Paul Mutton, and Marine 2nd Lieutenant John Mutton of Winston-Salem. He has four great grandchildren, Peyton Boyd, Everett Boyd, Aden Kate Boyd and Thomas Edwin Mutton III. He is also survived by his devoted companion and friend, Jo Etta Palmer. Funeral services will be held for Mr. Mutton on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 3 p.m. in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel, Eustis. The final resting place will be Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
