William Wood Obituary

Wood, William G.93, of Winter Park, Florida passed away on August 9, 2013. Born in Rochester, New York on March 19, 1920. He is survived by his daughters: Barbara (Dick) Tomasino of Plano, Texas and Nancy Lathrop of Maitland, Florida and two grandsons, Morgan and Christopher Lathrop. He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Lowe Wood, a WW II veteran. Bill was a graduate of Virginia Military Institute and served in WW II - 1st Armored Division. He worked as a Personnel Officer at the Orlando Naval Training Center. Special thanks to Keisha English for her wonderful care. A graveside memorial service will be held at Glen Haven Cemetery in Winter Park, Florida on Saturday, August 24, 10:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Honor Flight (non-profit organization that transports veterans to see the memorials in Washington, D.C). 407-203-7010.
