Gloria Stackfleth Notice
Stackfleth, Gloria loving mother and dedicated wife of Lt. Col. (retired) Ellis L. Stackfleth (deceased) passed away on July 20, 2014. Gloria was born in Clarkesdale, Mississippi and raised in Meridian Miss. She was a graduate of St. Vincents Hospital School of Nursing in Birmingham, Alabama. Gloria was a lifetime Red Cross Registered Nurse. She married her husband Stack, on Dec.19 1943. Four children survive her, Michael L. Stackfleth, Patricia S. Ducher, Ann S. Woodbury, and Christopher Stackfleth Lawrenceville, Georgia. Gloria had four grandaughters, and 1 great granddaughter and four great grandsons. Gloria was an avid porcelain painter and teacher after her retirement. Her porcelain pieces were exhibited in the Governors Office of the State Capitol in Tallahassee, Fl. She has award winning porcelain pieces in the World Order of China Painting Museum in Okla. Gloria and Stack were world travelers. They visited South Korea, Japan, China, Europe and other destinations. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Collison Funeral Home Howell Branch Chapel A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Peter and Paul's Catholic Church, 5300 Old Howell Branch Road, Winter Park, Florida 32792. Internment will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell Fl., on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 11:30 AM.
