ZABRISKIE, KENNETH L., passed away of heart failure on February 18, 2010, during a visit to Orlando. He was born August 23, 1927 in Provo, UT, to George O. and LaVera
Lublin Zabriskie. His career was in business, primarily sales and management. Mr. Zabriskie served his country in the Navy during WWII and was on one of the fist ships to arrive at Nagasaki, Japan in 1945. He married LeOra
Williams the following year in Oakland, CA. She preceded him in death in 1998 while he was serving as President of the Orlando Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In addition to many other church leadership callings, he also presided over the West Indies Mission from 1982-1985, which included the country of Haiti. Ken married Janet Boyer in 2001 and the couple has been serving together in the Atlanta Temple since that time. In addition to his wife, Janet, he is survived by four children, Steve,
Sharon, Susan, and Dale; as well as Janet's children, Laura, Linda, Charles, and Aileen and their spouses. He and Janet are the grandparents of 28 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 21, at the Lake Mary LDS Chapel, 2255 Lake Emma Rd., from 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the same chapel on Monday, Feb. 22, at 11 AM; arrangements through Baldwin-Fairchild, Altamonte Springs. The family requests contributions be made in Ken's name to LDSPhilanthropies.org to benefit the people of Haiti.
