Barbara Warman Obituary

WARMAN, BARBARA JANE, age 69, of St. Augustine, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2012 at her home with her husband at her side. Born in Medford, Oregon, Barbara grew up as a daughter of a Naval Officer and lived with her family at many duty stations including Japan and Guam. She earned a nursing degree from University of Virginia, and worked as a nurse for many years. An intelligent and studious woman, Barbara enjoyed school and went back to the University of Central Florida and earned a Bachelor and Masters Degree from the School of Accounting. She later earned a C.P.A. and C.M.A. designation. She lived for many years in the Orlando area and served as the Budget Director for the College of Business at U.C.F. for more than ten years. In 2006, she moved from Lake Mary, FL to St. Augustine. A Master Gardener, she was a member to the Central Florida Rose Society, and was also active in the Central Florida Computer Society. Above all, Barbara was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and she will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband, Michael Warman of St. Augustine; a son, Kent A. Warman, and his wife,
Megan, of Syosset, NY; a daughter, Paige Durrett, and her husband, John, of St. Augustine; brothers, Gary Eugene Evans, and his wife, Lynn, of Sarasota, FL, and Donald Stanley Evans of Lancaster, VA; and four grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 5, 2012, at St. Johns Family Funeral Home, with Rev. Craig Eby officiating. A committal service and interment will at 2 p.m. on Friday at Jacksonville National Cemetery. A visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at St. Johns Family
Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory can be made to: Community Hospice of N.E. Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL. 32257. St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

My deepest condolences to Barbara's family and all who knew her. I remember her well from her tenure at UCF and have always admired her. She was a great colleague and we are all the better for having known her. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who knew her, and especially her family.
