CALLAHAN, NICHOLAS J. JR., 87, of Tampa, died Jan 5, 2013. He was born Dec. 25, 1925, in Methuen, MA and raised in Lawrence, MA.. Mr. Callahan lived in the greater Orlando area for over 30 years. He was a combat veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Marine Corps. He graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy, Exeter, NH class of 1947 and Harvard College, Cambridge, MA class of 1950. Mr. Callahan's professional career in the department store industry spanned 50 years. He served in several executive management positions. He retired in 1988 as divisional vice president and general manager of the Robinson's of Florida Orlando Fashion Square store. survived by his son, Nicholas J. Callahan III, of Tampa; daughters Lisa C. Hohler, of Quincy, MA and Anne Blake Harris of Cibolo, TX; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild. A funeral service will take place at
Arlington National Cemetery this spring.
