Donald A. Paradis

Notice Condolences

PARADIS, DONALD A. , 84 passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, March 15, 2013, at the Halifax Health Hospice, Orange City, FL. Donald was born on June 7, 1928, South Freeport, Maine. The son of Leo and Bessie (Davis) Paradis. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters, Leotine (Teenie) Curtis, Llona Gardner and his brother Phillip (Buddy) Paradis. He was raised in York Maine and at the age of 17 joined the Navy. Don retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery Maine as a nuclear inspector in 1986. Don enjoyed hunting with his dad, son, Bruce and his brother, Buddy. He especially enjoyed spending time at his camp in Newport, ME with his family and friends. Don's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Halifax Health Hospice for the loving care showed to Don during his final days. He survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara
(Seward) Paradis; sons, Bruce
Paradis and wife Patty of Sanford, ME, Brian Paradis of St. Petersburg FL, and his daughter, Bonnie Telles of Rochester, NH; six grandchildren-Matthew Telles, Michelle
Lover, Andrew Gaudian, James
Paradis, Jenny Paradis, and Justin Paradis; and ten great grandchildren. A private burial will be held in Maine at a later date. Donations may be made in his name to the Halifax Health Hospice, 1625 Veterans Memorial Pkwy, Orange City, FL 32763. Arrangements entrusted to GRAMKOW FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 500 E.
