Gerald Birkenmaier Notice
Birkenmaier, Gerald age 81 of Winter Garden, FL, passed away on January 6, 2014. He was born in New York, New York. Gerald was owner of American Sanitary Partition Corporation and was associated with the company for 57 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1953-1955. Gerald loved golfing and was a member of the West Orange Country Club. He was an excellent soccer player and was named All City in New York. Gerald was also offered a tryout for Major League baseball. He was preceded in death by his first wife Edna Birkenmaier. Gerald is survived by his wife Marilyn Kelyman Birkenmaier, son Ron Birkenmaier and daughter in law Toni Birkenmaier, grandsons Jonathan, Justin Birkenmaier and granddaughter Lauren Birkenmaier, sister Elsa Wolschina. He is also survived by Marilyn's family sons Gary Kelyman, Daniel Kelyman and his wife Patti, grandsons Daniel Kelyman Jr., Jason Kelyman and great grandson Jaxson Kelyman, granddaughter Jamie Rafferty and her husband Randy, great grandchildren Sarah, Nicholas and Nathan Rafferty.There will be a visitation on Wednesday January 8, 2014 from 6:00pm-8:00 p.m. with a 7:00pm prayer service at the Baldwin Fairchild Winter Garden Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 9, 2014 at 11:00am at the chapel with interment to follow at Winter Garden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Cornerstone Hospice of Lake Co or The Episcopal Church of the Messiah Winter Garden, FL.
