Michael Hardiman Notice
Hardiman, Michael Michael Coughlin Hardiman's spirit of 61 years left on February 11th to join those friends that have preceded him to the afterlife. He passed quietly at his home from heart failure. Mike was born in Watertown, NY on August 15th, 1952 to Mary Martha (Coughlin) and John J Hardiman. He was baptized and confirmed in Holy Family Catholic Church, in Watertown, NY where during his youth he served as an altar boy. As Mike moved through the myriad of adventures and experiences in his life he became exceedingly spiritual, and revered the harmony of our universe. He will be missed by many, especially his family. He is survived by his three younger brothers and their families. Joe and Sharon have two daughters, Emily Kathleen Farber, with her husband Dr. Nicholas Farber and their son Ramsey Michael and Katherine "Kait" Elizabeth Hardiman, Charlie and his wife Sharon and his son Christopher John Hardiman, Tom and Barbara along with their children Connor Dean, Anna Elizabeth, Owen Coughlin and Clayton Niles Hardiman. Mike was an entrepreneur, commencing with the "Red Shack" in Clayton, NY in 1972 to President of Brennan Associates, which he grew to become one of the most reputable manufacturers' rep firms in the Southeastern US. His career started in New York State's North Country but then took him to Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Costa Rica and Bahrain among other locales. As a base of operations, he appreciated the warmth of family, affiliations, and climate in Florida. He had wanderlust. He was an airplane pilot transporting family and friends to and from St. Augustine, FL and elsewhere on many occasions. Over the years he was a regular at carnivals and events, be they in Key West, Costa Rica or along the waters of the St. Lawrence River. An avid student and teacher of yoga, accomplished martial artist, skilled welder, and traveler of the world, Mike enjoyed life in big bites. His perfectly restored antique BMW motorcycle will miss his full throttle runs. Mike had just sold his company, Brennan Associates, and retired two months ago so that he could pursue his real passions with newfound free time. He was currently training to be a certified yoga Instructor. In remembrance of Mike, please direct any donations in his name to the Sisters of Saint Joseph at the following address: Sisters of Saint Joseph, 1425 Washington Street, Watertown, NY 13601 Attention: Sister Ellen Rose.
