GOAD, RICHARD JACK, January 6, 2007, Richard Jack Goad went home to the Lord and his parents, Jack and
Martha Goad, who preceded him in death. Rick was born on May 5, 1963 in Piqua, Ohio where his Mom and Dad instilled in him and his siblings a love of music as a form of praise and worship to the Lord. This led to a lifetime career of service to others. From these beginnings, he and his brothers and sisters formed Goad International, a worldwide ministry, which has been instrumental in humanitarian efforts, outreach programs, and crisis response on a glo-bal level. This ministry also serves as a venue for their exceptional musical abilities. Through his love for music, Rick became an accomplished pianist and composer. This passion for music led to another passion in his life, his wife, Jackie Hatchett Goad, who is a gifted songstress. Together, they made beautiful music! Eleven years of marriage gave them great joy and more importantly, two beautiful children. He was a dedicated husband and father, and a spiritual mentor to many whose lives he touched throughout the years. Rick was tireless in encouraging people to find hope in Christ. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Survivors include his wife, Jacquelyn Hatchett Goad of Celebration, FL; children, Brennon and Alexandra; sisters and spouses, Betty and David McKay of Franklin, TN, Helen and Dave LeMaster of Sidney, OH, Ruth Ann and Bill Merz of Celebration, FL, and Carolyn and Sean Pankalla of Celebration, FL; brother and spouse, Tim and Gaye Goad of Celebration, FL, and brother, Curt Goad of Orlando, FL ; plus numerous nieces and nephews, and very special friends. Services will be held at 4PM on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at The Master's Touch Church, 555 Markham Woods Rd., Longwood, FL 32779, with Dr. John Maxwell officiating. The family will receive their friends in the sanctuary immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, his wife Jackie, requests that memorials be made to Rick Goad Ministries to further his vision to give hope.
