At the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, Howard Merkley of Morewood, age 64. Loving husband of Bettyanne Merkley (nee Simser). Loving father of Drew of Peterborough and April Merkley (Marc Bissonnette) of Ottawa. Dear brother of Jim (Barbara) of Morewood, Richard (Brigitte) of Winchester, Frank (Louise) of Orleans, Doug (Bev) of Winchester and David (Carol) of Courtney, B.C. Howard will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Ethan and Chloe. Predeceased by his sisters Maxine Link and Dolores Moffat and his brothers Wallace and Gordon. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home, Chesterville, on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, July 27th at 1 p.m. Interment Reids Mills Cemetery.
