It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden death of Bernard L Eisener in his 91st year, a great man, proud veteran and devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. Born in Meadowvale NS, he was the son of Bessie and Gordon Eisener. He joined the Canadian Army (Princess Louise Fusiliers) at the age of 16 and served until 1945. He was proud of his wartime service to Canada and especially his role in the Italian Campaign. After the war, he worked for the Naval Armament Depot in Dartmouth until 1951 at which time he joined the RCAF, serving until 1969. He then worked as a public servant in the Post Office and Department of Transport. He was predeceased by Annie, his beloved wife and companion for over 72 years: his son Gordon and grandson Wayne. Sadly missed and survived by his son Bernie (Brenda). "Gramps" will also be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his grandchildren: Rod (Lynn) Eisener, Pamela Eisener-Parsche (Michael Parsche), Thane Eisener (Leslie), Debbie and Michael Eisener and his great grandchildren: Roxanne, Alexandra, Samantha, Lucas, Katrina, Andrew, Jackson, Beckett, Christopher, April-Rose, Mandi and Sheryl. Also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
