Blanche Fraser

FRASER, Mrs. Blanche (nee Massicotte) Of Gatineau, passed away peacefully, in her 98th year, Sunday, December 28, 2008. Daughter of the late Omer Massicotte and the late Melina Veillette. Loving companion to her devoted husband Leo, deceased in 1987, with whom she shared almost sixty years of marriage. Blanche was the cherished mother to Jean (Doug) Ronald, Norman (Margaret) and Carole. Predeceased by her infant daughter Blanche and by daughter Isabelle. Blanche leaves to mourn, nine grandchildren: Beth, Nina, Patricia, Suzanne, Kristin, Fraser, Heather, Mimi and Anne-Marie. She will also be missed by six great-grandchildren: Sara, Lauren, Julia, Adrienne, Susanah and Alec. She will be sadly missed by her two remaining sisters: Suzanne and Charlotte. Blanche was an exceptional person. She was an accomplished curler and talented amateur artist. Blanche will be missed by her dear Wednesday afternoon Bridge partners. She was a long-time member of St. Aloysius Parish in Gatineau, where the funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 11 o'clock. Visitation at the A. Gauvreau & Sons Funeral Home, 750 Maloney Blvd. East, Gatineau, Tuesday, December 30 from 7-9 p.m. There will be no visitation on Wednesday. Special thanks to the seventh floor staff of the Gatineau Hospital and the 3-B second floor staff of Cite Jardin. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
