On February 6, 2013, surrounded by family and friends, Donna passed away peacefully in her home. In 2011, Donna was diagnosed with breast cancer, the same illness that took her mother away from her when she was only 17. Donna was brave when her mother was ill, and had the same tenacity and courage to fight her own illness for almost two years. She defined the word fighter, as she hid her pain and remained hopeful. Donna fought the hardest battle of all, holding on to each and every day. Even in her last few days of life, she refused to give up. As the cancer took over her body she never told anyone how much pain she was in, which illustrated her desire to put others before herself. This selflessness transcended in all aspects of her life; from the way she treated her friends, to the comfort she provided the children at CAS, to the love and devotion she provided her children and husband. The love Donna had for her family was unconditional and this love will live in their hearts for all eternity. Donna was born to two loving parents, Leo and Alice Boruque with whom she is now in heaven. Donna will be greatly missed by her loving husband Jimmy, to whom she was married for thirty three years. She will also live on in the hearts of her three children: Alissa, Layla, and Tarik. She will also be greatly missed by her best friend Kim and her son-in-law Kris. The family would like to thank the palliative care team that has been working with the family and provided exceptional support, especially Marilyn and Dr. Coulombe for their compassion. The Hamrouni's would like to invite friends and family to celebrate Donna Lee's life on Sunday, February 10th from 6-9pm at
