GALL, Gwendolyn (Glendy or Gwen)
July 1957 - September 2013
Gwendolyn was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and travelled in life to Europe, the U.S., and Canada, and ended her journey with Greg Reilly in Old Ottawa South. She studied at the University of Waterloo and Algonquin College, and graduated in library and information science. A quirky wit, fine writer, community contributor (OSCA Lifetime Achievement Award), dog lover, and culinary sage, Gwendolyn will be missed deeply. Her greatest passion in life was to make her community and the world a better place. Predeceased by her mother, R. Elaine (Mertes) Gall, Gwendolyn leaves her beloved life-partner, Greg Reilly, father Prof. Carl Gall, sisters Carlaine, Alison, and Suzanne, relatives, and friends. A celebration of Gwendolyn's life will be held at the Old Ottawa South Community Centre, 260 Sunnyside Avenue, Ottawa, 7 p.m.- 10 p.m., Saturday, September 28, 2013. A second celebration of life will be held in Kitchener-Waterloo at the Royal Canadian Legion, 524 Belmont Ave W Kitchener on Oct. 5, 2013, 8 p.m. Donations may be made to the May Court Hospice, 114 Cameron Ave, Ottawa, Ontario.
