HAWKE, Jocelyn Marjorie
After a long and happy life, Jocelyn passed away peacefully in North Bay on Sunday, February 24th, 2013. Jocelyn (nee Edwards from Crickhowell, Wales) was for 43 years the beloved wife and best friend of the late Berton Murray Hawke. Loving mother of Robert Hawke of Orillia, Sian Hawke-Botting (Geof Botting) of North Bay, MaryAnn Hawke (Erik Viirre) of San Diego, Connie Hawke (David Worsley) of Gibsons, BC and Carol Hawke (John Brown) also of Orillia. She dearly loved and was very proud of her grandchildren Chris, Kendra, Robin, Nigel, Rosanna, Aleks, Janine, Nancy, plus her great-grandchildren Sebastian and Colm. She also dearly loved her baby brother Edmund Edwards (Yvonne) of Tillsonburg. Jocelyn as a Registered Nurse dedicated her long career to the caring of the newborn babies in the nursery at the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital. Her skills, dedication, extraordinary patience, and gentle kindness are well remembered. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark's Presbyterian Church (429 Jamieson Drive, Orillia) on Saturday, March 2nd, at 1:30 PM. If desired, donations to the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
