Marcel Patenaude

PATENAUDE, Marcel
Marcel Patenaude born April 15, 1926 in Limoges Ontario, passed away quietly at the Ottawa Hospital on December 27, 2012. Marcel, a resident of Orleans and formerly Petawawa, was predeceased by his first wife of 51 years, Marguerite Whalen (1997), and his second wife Doris Roy (2010). He will be sadly missed by his children, Donalda (Paul Hector) of Thornhill, ON, Marcella (Andre Letourneau) of Ottawa, Carol of Cold Lake, AB, Sylvia of Ottawa, Paul (Donna Marshall) of Ottawa, and Emil of Victoria, B.C. He was the cherished pappy of Natalie, Peter, Erica, Maria, Victoria, Christopher, Melissa and the great-grandfather of Audrey, Jamie, Thomas, Nicholas and Rebecca. He was dearly loved and will be missed by his surviving siblings, Yvette, Jacques (Elaine), Claudette, and Gilles, and as well, many relatives, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Marcel served in the Canadian Armed Forces and was a proud veteran of the Korean War. Despite his numerous disabilities, he continued to be very active and independent until his final week. The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Home, 2871 St. Joseph Blvd., Orléans, on Friday, January 4th, 2012 from 11 am to 1 pm., followed by a Celebration of Life at 1 pm. A memorial mass and interment of ashes will take place in the spring of 2013 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Petawawa, ON.
