Died peacefully at the General Campus
of the Ottawa Hospital after a brave and courageous battle with lung cancer. Bev cherished wife for over 57 years to Ted Williams. Devoted and caring mother to
Cindy and Shawn. Predeceased by her parents Elizabeth (Lizzie) and Russell Monahan. Dear sister to Eileen ( Peter), and Thora ( Jim). She is survived by her sisters -in- law Shirley (the late Reg), Joyce (the late Ernie), Kay (the late Joe), Shirley, and her brothers- in-law Lyle (Judy), Robert (Jeannie), Gary (Linda) and Alex. A very special friend to Carolyn Williams. Predeceased by her brothers Harold, Lloyd (Mildred), and Bob (Lil), sisters-in-law June (Cecil), and Connie (Jack). Bev had a very special place in the hearts of all her nieces and nephews. Bev had a big heart, a big spirit and was a larger than life personality. Bev was a woman of great faith who was very active and dedicated to the many churches to which she belonged throughout her life, most notable at Trinity United Church where she was an active member of the Pastoral Care Team. Bev travelled Europe and all across Canada as a young Air Force bride and mother. Bev was a huge supporter of Minor Hockey in Ottawa West. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of the Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean on Wednesday and Thursday from 1-3 and 6-8 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Trinity United Church, 1099 Maitland Ave. on Friday at 11 am. Inurnment at Rideau Vale Cemetery, Kars. A very special thank you to Dr. Garth Nicholas and Dr. Kayvan Amjadi and all staff on 5 East and also to all the caring staff at Park Place. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Trinity Jubilee Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Ted, Cindy and Shawn, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of your great loss. I have many great memeories of Bev when I lived in Ottawa. I enjoyed many family events at her sister Eileen's She will be greatly missed by all.

Bev was a well-known and much-loved resident at Park Place. We are glad that she has been a friend to us, and to Kirsty's parents. May she rest in peace where there is no pain, or sorrow, or weeping, but only life everlasting.

Dear Ted, Cindy, and Shawn,
We were saddened to hear of Bev's passing; our many warm memories of her and her unmistakable voice and laugh will keep her alive in our hearts. I especially remember when Bev and my mom visited me in Guelph - I think the two of them laughed and talked all night while managing not to fly out of the waterbed!
We know this has been a long and difficult road for you and hope you find peace in knowing she is in God's arms and no longer suffering. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Heaven welcomes a new angel.... Although I never had the opportunity of meeting Bev, I know she will be missed. Bev touched so many people, her loss will be felt by everyone. She was a beautiful person, inside and out, and she will be relentless and uncompromisingly missed. I'm sure there is a bingo hall awaiting her arrival.

Its hard to imagine a world without Bev. Her unmistakable laugh, her kindness, willing to take that extra step for friends and family... Most of all her stories ... I am going to miss "those" stories Bev told ... I am sure you all know the one's I am talking about..... The world has lost a great lady and it's heavens gain....I am sad I never dropped by to have that morning coffee with you Bev.....

I still can't believe she's gone. Bev was such an incredible lady! If a family party was coming up the first thing I'd ask Mom is "is Bev going to be there because if not, I'm not going." She had the greatest smile and was always happy but if she was mad about something, boy she'd let you know it. I always knew if I called Mom and couldn't get through, she must be talking to Bev. :) The Monahan family has suffered a great loss. I will dearly treasure my memories of her always. Thank God, her suffering is over.
Ted, Shawn & Cindy...I am soooo sorry for your loss. Take comfort in your memories and know that she is no longer suffering.
