DOWNEY, Thomas Edward B.A. L.Th. D.D. 1918 - 2005 Former Dean of Christ Church Cathedral Peacefully in hospital on Wednesday, January 5, 2005, after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his dearly beloved wife Isabel Creeggan, his children Rebecca Cairns (Bruce) and Stephen (Lynn Markert) and his sister Helen. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families. He is predeceased by his brother Cosmo. The family would like to express their sincere and heartfelt thanks to the many, many people who were involved in his care. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore and Baseline Road), Nepean on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday at Christ Church Cathedral, Sparks Street (between Bay and Bronson), Ottawa from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Primate's World Relief and Development Fund, Christ Church Cathedral Restoration Fund or the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
