Dear Pat:
A friend in Ottawa kindly sent the obituary to me.
I did not hear from Gord last Xmas and maybe the year before as well, but had no inkling that he was ill.
Wishing you all the best.
Sincerely
Dave and Wendy Betts

September 29, 2014
I extend my sincere condolence to Pat and the entire Peterkin family on the loss of Gordon. He was a friend and brother of Theta Xi fraternity at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY and a teammate from 1951 through 1955 on the varsity hockey team (cf. photo). Among many memorable achievements, he scored the winning goal in overtime to secure the first NCAA Division I ice hockey championship for RPI in 1954. I'll miss you, Gordie!
