Peacefully at home while surrounded by the love of family on Friday morning, April 25th, 2014. Michael W. Marcellus of Arnprior passed away following a valiant struggle with cancer. He was 66. Dear son of the late Francis Marcellus and the late Katherine "Kaye" Lamorie. Beloved husband and best friend of Bonnie (nee Hogan). Dearly loved and proud "Dad" of Shannon Marcellus (Michael O'Connor) of Arnprior and Ryan Marcellus (Heather) of Braeside. Much loved and doting "Grampa" of Sierra and Aiden O'Connor and Matthew Marcellus. Mike always remained close to his siblings John (Norma) of Arnprior; Tony (Joanne) of Braeside; Jean Price of Drayton Valley, Alberta and Mary Lou Spaull (Stephen) of White Lake. Predeceased by his brother, Ken (Carly of Arnprior). Special son-in-law of Goldie Hogan (late Bill) of Arnprior and brother-in-law of Mike Hogan (Pat) of Arnprior and JoAnn Guerrero (Joe) of Stittsville. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and countless friends. A gentle, caring and compassionate man has left us. His absence will be felt by all who knew him. Family and friends are invited to share their memories of Mike with his family during visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8p.m. and again on Monday from 9:15 until 10:15 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Monday morning, April 28th, 2014 at 11 o'clock. Cremation will follow. In memory of Mike, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by his family.
