Alice BURNS Obituary
June 12, 2014, a wonderful Mother and Grandmother, Alice R. Burns, age 88, left us peacefully following an unexpected but thankfully brief illness. She leaves us to join her husband Alex and son Robin. She leaves behind her daughter Kathi, grandson Colton, nieces Gaylinne, Tara and Hillary as well as many friends and colleagues. Alice was retired from the Federal Government and was an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi Society which she joined in 1957. She was also a very active volunteer at the Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre. Her spare time was often spent travelling to many places worldwide, regularly to visit family in Arizona. As per Alice's wishes, a Graveside Service will be held Friday at Pinecrest Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Donations to the Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre or to the Ottawa Humane Society. www.kellyfh.ca "As a Mom and Grandmother she will be greatly missed. Kathi my deepest sympathy to you and Colton. Our Mom's traveled many a mile together. We were always pleased Mom had a good friend to share the adventures with. Alice will truly be missed.
