Anne Mary (nee McPherson) Nicolson June 10 1932- February 16 2013 Anne, a beautiful and passionate spirit, passed away surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Murdo "Nic" for 58 years and cherished "Mama Bear" of Vanessa (Nessa), Murray (Moey) (Heather "Hopi"), and Catherine (Goge). Loving grandmother of Chelsea (Dolly). Beloved daughter of the late Gerald and Anne Marie (Lajat) McPherson. Caring sister of Allan (Linda), Brian (Janet), Dave (Jan), and the late Elizabeth. Lifelong friend of "Stacey" and steadfast friend to many in Winnipeg, Calgary, Barrie, The Lakehead (where she spent her wonderful formative years) and Ottawa. An elegant and classy woman, Mom was smart, funny, romantic, sentimental and a lover of tradition. Blunt and "hardcore," she shot from the hip and heart. She adored Christmas, parties and shopping. A voracious reader, she loved theatre, jazz, travel and all things Elvis. Mom's favourite saying: "Anything Latin, bring it on!" A Manhattan drinker extraordinaire, Mom's second main man was Richard Gere. Anne was a loyal and conscientious employee of the Bank of Montreal for 30 years. Xoxo Mommy Anne- did you catch it?
