FAWTHROP, Annie Isobel
On Sunday, October 28, 2012, at the age of 91, Isobel passed away following a short illness. Isobel was the beloved sister of June Fawthrop and was predeceased by her parents Percy and Christina (Tena) Fawthrop, brother Lt. Ross Fawthrop (WWII) and friend and travel/art companion, Frances Craig. Isobel will be greatly missed by a number of friends including those in her church, bridge and art groups and at The Colonel By Retirement Residence. Isobel was a faithful, dedicated and long-time member of Fourth Avenue Baptist Church. Isobel's chosen profession was teaching and she excelled in it. She very much enjoyed her work with the Ottawa Public School Board, eventually becoming an art consultant. In retirement, painting, travel, delivering Meals on Wheels, working with and contributing to Canadian Baptist Women's organizations were her passions. We gratefully acknowledge the staff at Colonel By Retirement Residence for the wonderful care, compassion and love received by Isobel during her years as a resident and throughout her illness. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry on Tuesday, November 13 from 10 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the following organizations would be appreciated: Fourth Ave. Baptist Church, 109A Fourth Ave., Ottawa, K1S 2L3; The Sharing Way (Canadian Baptist Ministries), 7185 Millcreek Dr., Mississauga, L5N 5R4; or The Glebe Centre (long term care residence), 77 Monk St., Ottawa,
K1S 5A7.
