It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernard Farley at the Montfort Hospital on May 29, 2012, at age 77. Son of the late Ernest Farley and the late Yvonne Godard. He is survived by his loving wife, Annette (Aubin), his beloved children: Sylvie (Réal Laporte) and Pierre-Daniel, his four grandchildren, Sébastien (Tania Charette), Geneviève (Serge Paquette), Rachelle (Mario Brunet), Cynthia, a great-grandson, Benoît Perron-Laporte. He also leaves his brothers and sisters Lucille (late Maurice Quesnel), Yvette, (late Florian Quesnel), Lucien (Lina Gauthier), Gisèle (Rhéal Lamoureux), Yvon (Anita Scharf), Laurette (late Roland Dumais), Réjeanne (Gérard Demers), Claudette (Jean-Paul Lafond) Desneiges (Daughter of Wisdom), Hector (Lise Dussault), Claire (Emile Mongiat), André (Rose-Marie Gionet), Pauline (Gilbert Gervais, father of her children) , Jeannine (Richard Lauzière), his brothers-in-law and sisters-in- law: Jean-Paul (Nicole Bourgon), Robert (late Lise Mainville), Jeannette, Diane (Roger Legris). He left to join his grandson, Benoit, his sisters: Jeannine, Thérèse (late Lionel Benoit), his brothers: Hubert (Pomilia Brae), Normand (Lise Labelle), his brother-in-law, Albert Aubin. He also leaves his goddaughter, Christiane Farley-Quesnel and his godson Jean-Pierre Tremblay and several nephews, nieces, relatives and friend (s). A person very dear to his heart, Father Étienne Mfuni-Beya. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Special thanks to all the medical staff of the 4th floor wing A of the Montfort Hospital for the excellent care provided. A Memorial Mass in the presence of the urn will take place on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 9:30 am at Notre- Dame de Lourdes Church at 435 Montreal Road, Ottawa. The family will be present at 9:00 am to receive condolences. In Memory of Mr. Farley, donations to the Heart Institute of the Ottawa Civic Hospital Foundation or Montfort Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. Thank you!
