Donalda PHILLIPS Obituary
Dona passed away on January 5, 2012 at the age of 92. She was the daughter of Chrissie MacIntosh and Sydney Long and was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Alan, in 2006 and by her son Rod in 2007.
She is survived by her sons, Hunter (Cathy Kane) and Scott (Bianka Skubnik), daughter in law, Sandiey Fox and grandchildren Jesse, Kaili, Corey, Julia, Brendan and Laura. Dona was born in Saskatoon, grew up in Winnipeg, and graduated from the University of Manitoba. She married Alan in 1945 and they lived in Toronto and Ottawa, followed by many happy years in retirement at Maple Leaf Estates in Florida. Dona will be remembered as a devoted wife, proud mother and grandmother, avid reader and a charming lady. Special thanks to all at Granite Ridge for their care of Dona over the last seven years.
A private family funeral will take place. In memory of Dona, please consider the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Funeral arrangements in care of Kelly Funeral Home.
