ARMSTRONG, Eileen Ella
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Eileen on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, surrounded by her loved ones. Beloved wife of the late William George Donald Armstrong. Cherished mother of Betty Anne Smythe (Grant), Geoff (Rita), Richard (Brenda),Craig (Liane), Andrew (Kathy). Loving grandmother of Sean, Brendan, Brian, Kelsey, Lauren, Emily, Matthew, Grace, Davis and Piers. Predeceased by her grandson Blake. Eileen was born and raised in Pembroke and met Don in Ottawa where the two sang in a choir. They fell in love and were married in Ottawa where they raised their 5 children. Music continued in their lives and also in their children. Eileen was an accomplished artist. She participated in the Pastel Society of Canada where she won first prize for her most cherished picture of a Mexican woman surrounded by her dolls. Special thanks to all the nurses, care givers and supporting personnel at The Duke of Devonshire
where Eileen spent the past four months as well as Dr. Lisa Cross for her kindness and compassion. Also everyone at the Hospice at May Court. Friends and family are invited to visit the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd. (between Baseline Rd. and Bayshore Dr), Nepean on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Woodroffe United Church on Monday at 11 a.m. Those wishing may make memorial donations to the .
