BEACH, Evelyn Emily (nee Collins)
The Guest Book is expired.
Passed away just shy of her 96th birthday on December 5, 2012. After graduating from Queen's University in 1938, Evelyn married John Beach and they shared the next 70 years together living in Ottawa, Hong Kong, at Camp Tawingo near Huntsville, on beautiful Bark Lake at the edge of Algonquin Park, and finally Brockville. Evelyn kept a diary throughout her life. One of her early entries at age 14 records a time when her father was gravely ill with diphtheria. Fearing he would die, she prayed and asked that if he was spared she would promise to try and be good for the rest of her life. Evelyn kept her promise.
She is survived by son Ken (Esther) of Winchester, daughter Barbara (Felix Cacchione) of Halifax, six grandchildren and her extended Beach and Collins families. Evelyn's long standing wish was to donate her body to the Queen's School of Anatomy. There will be no visitation or funeral. Arrangements entrusted to the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville. Condolences to the family may be sent online at www.irvinememorial.com
