COCHRANE, Floyd Elwood

Floyd Cochrane, a lifetime resident of Russell, passed away peacefully on Sunday February 3rd, 2013, in his 83rd year. Eldest son of the late John Elwood and Irene (Galbraith) Cochrane. Beloved husband of Betty Hudson. Loving father of Barry (Valerie), Bryan (Laurie), Kevin (Kim), and Paul (Melanie). Survived by the mother of his children, Marion Cochrane. Cherished Grandfather to Sarah, Jennifer and Michael; Erin, Kaley, Ryan and Jamie; John and Erika; Kelsey, Emily and Cale. Great-Grandfather of Isabella, Troy and Victoria; Jakob and Lilianne; and Taylor. Loved brother of Doreen, Diane, Suzanne and Geoffrey, predeceased by Glenn and Stephen. Floyd, the proud owner of Cochrane's Dairy, loved to play music. Joining his first marching band at the age of eight, some of his fondest memories were of playing saxophone and trumpet with the: Don Morell, Cliff Wilkes and Russ Hay bands as well as the Harmony Six, the Ottawa Fire Department band and the Sharps and Flats. He will be deeply missed. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St.(between Scrivens Dr. and Metcalfe corner) on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Tuesday to St. Mary's Anglican Church, 139 Castor St. Russell for service at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation or to St. Mary's Anglican Church in Russell, 139 Castor St.ON. K4R 1C7 would be appreciated.
