Joyce & Family,
I worked with Fred many years ago at Oakes Mechanical, Fred started a year or two after I had finished my apprenticeship, he instantly earned the respect and admiration of everyone who worked there. Fred dedicated himself to becoming a better person in those years and did exactly that. All of us who worked at Oakes got the benefit of Fred's wicked sense of humour and style, both he and John Klepy made those years seem like the best times of our lives - they were ! It was an honour to have known Fred & I share in your family's sorrow. We could all take a page from Fred's book, he grabbed all the positives in life and made things happen, I'll miss him.

Dear Joyce, Alley and Brown Family,
Laura and I want to offer you our deepest sympathies. Although we have not known you for very long, we always enjoyed being your neighbours on Sunday game day for the 67s. Ally and Family:
There isn't a time we drive through Kenmore, on the way to Marvelville that we dont think, and talk about Fred.
The happiness that Fred and Ally shared being around the rink for the 67s and Senators, was infectious to others and will be remembered.
Freds' strength and courage was remarkable. He was a positive and kind hearted man, and is a good example to others.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Fred Brown. I remember him from the early 80's when he played a single act at the bars around the valley and Ottawa. It was my husband Eddie who booked him into quite a few of his gigs that he did. He was a very good person and always appreciated the bookings he got. And last but not least he was a wonderful entertainer.
