von JAGOW, Friedrich- Carl
Rechtsritter des Johanniterordens
July 9, 1923 – December 24, 2012
Friedrich- Carl died peacefully at the age of 89, after a long and fulfilling life. The youngest of eight children, he courageously immigrated on his own to Canada from Germany in 1952. He eventually made Ottawa his home and built a good life from humble beginnings. He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Agnes von Jagow (nee von Veltheim), his daughter Tona Locke, with husband Randy and children Adam and Sam, and his son George with wife Karen and children Ben and Eva. He is fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews living in Germany. Known as Fiddel by his family and close friends, he is predeceased by six of his seven siblings. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff on the fifth floor of West End Villa for the kindness and compassion he received under their care. A service to honour his life will take place on Thursday, January 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Condolences, tributes or donations may be made at
