Gordon passed peacefully at Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on September 22, 2013. Gordon Alfred George Collier, age 84, predeceased by his beloved wife of 44 years Maude Elizabeth Collier (nee Bullock). Loving father of sons Drs. Gordon Bruce and Thomas Lee Collier (daughter-in-law Dr. Rikki Noel Waterhouse). Survived by his sister Mrs. Elsie Coyle of Ohio and predeceased by his sisters Jean Church and Constance Touron and brothers Walter and Wilfred. He was known as "Uncle Gordy" to all in the Willola Beach community and will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends who also called him "Yoda." Many thanks to the caring neighbours and friends during his illness, particularly his friends Brian D'Arcy and Wayne Moulton for their constant support. He was a longtime member of the Bell Street United Church including the Ark-M group. His great sense of humour will be greatly missed by all. Gordon was a skilled jeweler who retired from Henry Birk's and Sons (Ottawa) with over 47 years of service. His hobbies included amateur painting and woodworking. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at the Arnprior hospital for their kind and caring attention during his stay. Friends and family are welcomed to join in a celebration of Gordon's Life which will be held at St. Andrews United Church, 184 Carleton Street, Fitzroy Harbour (Ottawa) on Saturday Sept. 28, 2013 at 11 am. Inurnment to follow at Capital Memorial Gardens.
