1938-2012 Heather Anne Sole, (née McEachern)

Surrounded by her family and friends, Heather began her final journey on November 11, 2012, to the rhythm of a drumbeat and voices united in song.

For 53 years, Heather shared her life with her husband and soulmate Wayne Sole. She was the cherished mother of Michael (Monique), Debbie (Jim), Carolyn (Bruce) and David (Davida) and loving Granny to Joseph, Matthew and Daniel, Lisa Marie and Samantha, Christian, Catherine and Manon, Mikaila and Sabryn. She will also be dearly missed by Coco.

Heather leaves a large community of friends at Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn First Nation at Golden Lake, where she was affectionately known as Grandmother Heather. She devoted much of her life to helping women and children of abuse. She worked for the UN Canada National Youth Forum on HIV/AIDS and was an Elder of the Child & Youth at Risk Demonstration Project at Pikwàkanagàn First Nation.

A viewing will be held at the Elder's Lodge from 12-3 pm at the Pikwàkanagàn First Nation, Golden Lake. Service will follow (3 pm).
