Suddenly with his family by his side at the Kingston General Hospital. Predeceased by his wife, Joan (Pharaoh) and his brother, Hubert, he leaves his four children, Heather (Knud Jakobsen), Derek (Kathy), Robert (Christine), and Sandra (Garry Wyborn) and eight grandchildren, Kaj, Adam, Jimmy, Tiffany, Shawn (Melissa), Stacey, Chris (Jenne), and Leanne (Steve) and three great- grandchildren. He will also be lovingly remembered by his nephews, Dale and Bruce Robinson, and their families. Irving was born in Edwardsburg Township, second son of Howard and Ada Robinson. He drove a streetcar and bus in Ottawa and Edmonton before marrying Joan in January 1955. Their four children were born in Edmonton and they moved back to Eastern Ontario where Irving landed a job at Kingston Penitentiary. He retired after thirty years of service and, together with Joan, enjoyed many years in Florida in the winter and the Kingston- Gananoque area in the summer. He will always be remembered for his knowledge of his extended family, his keen sense of humour, and his endless stories, all of which he shared right to the end. Friends are invited to visit at the Brown Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 805 Prescott Street, Kemptville, on Friday, November 23rd from 1 p.m. until time of Service in the Chapel at 3 p.m. Reception to follow at the Heckston United Church. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
