JACKSON, James Hector "Jim"
Passed away on February 23, 2013 at age
87. He was born in Ottawa on November 17, 1925. Loving son of the late James and Francis (Lyons). Jim is survived by his long time and close friend Cecile; sons: Charles and his wife Elizabeth; and Barry; grandchildren: Collin, Krista, Stone, and Jamie. Also fondly remembered by Cecile's family Brian, Elaine, Louise, John, Lynn and
8 grandchildren. Jim was a proud military veteran, serving overseas with the Air Force during World War II. He attended Ottawa Technical High School. Jim worked for 40 years as an aerotriangulation at SMRS (now NRcan). Jim was an enthusiastic sports fan and avid fisherman. He was a former member of the Carleton Heights Curling Club. Jim
was associated with junior lacrosse and hockey. He volunteered as a trainer and equipment manager for the Nepean Knights (Lacrosse) and Nepean Raiders (Hockey).
He was trainer with the Ottawa 67's and
the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association. Jim, always young at heart, took great joy in his involvement with amateur sports. He traveled the world with various sporting organizations. He had a playful sense of humor, an abundance of compassion. Friends may pay respects at the Westboro Chapel
