Jean-Jacques NOREAU Obituary
Of Wendover, Ont., passed away on Wednesday May 8th, 2013 at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Lise Brisson Noreau. Dear father of Frédéric (Laura Klickman) and grandfather of Cécilia and Isabelle. Brother of: Bernard (Patricia Rice), Renée, Denise, Jeanne d'Arc (late Pascal Barrasso), Danielle (Normand Maletto) and Josette (John Butler). He also leaves Rita Brisson, Robert Brisson (Anick Rousseau), and Lucie Brisson (Michel Lahaie). His relatives, friends, and former colleagues, both from the federal government and the O.E.C.D., will remember him for his integrity, loyalty, and love. A private celebration will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated. 837 Pitt St. Cornwall Ont. K6J 3S5

Lise, I was so sorry to learn of Jean Jacques passing, and wanted to convey my sympathy to you and your family. I greatly enjoyed working with Jean Jacques, both when he served in Agriculture and in Health Canada, and remember him with respect and admiration.

Lise et Frédéric,
L'annonce du décès de Jean-Jacques a fait ressurgir en moi de nombreux souvenirs du début de ma carrière (tant avec lui comme patron que toi). Jean-Jacques a été un mentor pour moi. Il m'a encouragée à sortir de ma zone de confort, à élargir mon expérience, à tenter de nouveaux défis. Avec son franc-parler, il savait orienter, diriger ses équipes et toujour viser la perfection, exigeant le meilleur de chacun. Tout dévoué qu'il était à sa carrière il était tout autant attaché à sa famille. Je me rappelle l'admiration qu'il te vouait ainsi que son excitation à la naissance de Frédéric. Je pense à vous en cette période difficile et vous offre mes plus sincères condoléances.

À toute la famille, mes plus sincères condoléances. Je suis heureux d'avoir pu le rencontrer tout à fait par hasard il y a deux ou trois ans, à une station service de Neuville (Lise s'en souvient certainement). Il est dommage que nous n'ayons pas pu échanger plus longtemps sur le présent et le passé à cette occasion.

Lise, je vous offre mes condoléances. Ma dernière rencontre avec Jean-Jacques a été en ski au Mont-Tremblant, un sport qu'il aimait beaucoup. Un travailleur infatigable, il a inspiré beaucoup de gens.
J'en garde un très bon souvenir.

À toute la famille, mes plus sincères condoléances.
Il a été mon tout premier patron, en 1973, à l'ACDI, et l'était à nouveau en 1993, à DRHC. Je ne sais pas s'il s'est jamais demandé si toute l'énergie et la fougue qu'il mettait à son travail en valait l'enjeu...Je tiens à témoigner que oui! Il a su susciter estime, loyauté et admiration auprès de plusieurs qui ont eu la chance de pouvoir s'en inspirer.
