BROWN, Kathleen Beryl (Cherry)
11/18/ 1922 - 12/12/2012
Cherry Brown peacefully passed away on December 12, 2012 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. Loving Mum of Robert (Sherrill), Keith (Christine), Janet, Judy and Will (Elaine). Much loved Grandmother (Dabby/ Nanny) to Erin, Rob (Barb), Colin (Alex), Richard (Rhonda), Ben (Kristie), Clifton, Kate, Jane, Wallis and Frances. Great-Grandmother to Ava, Owen, Brodie, Jack and soon to be two more. Loved sister of Jean, Vera and Richard. Proud Aunt to many nieces and nephews and a very special thank you to Lorraine and Wayne. Cherry was an adventuresome War Bride as she made her new home in Westboro after WWII. Her greatest passion was to support and encourage all of her family and she was never happier than to be with them. Cherry loved to read, garden and was an avid bridge player and a formidable Scrabble opponent. Always competitive, striving to win, loving every minute of the game at hand and always with such kindness and laughter. The cottage at Bass Lake was a place of great joy and contentment. Cherry's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. A lady to the end. No funeral; a private family gathering will take place at a later date. Donations gratefully received to the -Breast Cancer. Cherry was both a proud Brit and a proud Canadian: Rule Britannia. Love you Mum.
