In her 103rd year, surrounded by family and friends, Kathleen (Kay) peacefully passed on to her next chapter after a long and amazing life. Kay - always a bright spirit, touched everyone in her life with a bright smile, quick laugh and, if you were lucky, a song. A great lady, Kay happily joins her husband Harold (passed on in 1987) and her parents John W. Churchill (former Fire Chief of Halifax) and Julia Murrans. Kay was also predeceased by her brothers George and Gerald, and her nephew John (Jack) Churchill. Lovingly remembered by her devoted and dedicated son Paul; special niece Danielle Churchill; nieces Pauline Ann Barclay and her husband Kenneth Barclay; several nieces and nephews on the Burke side of the family; special grand niece and nephews Gerry (Lisa), John (Stephanie) and Paula (Jeff Yungblut) Churchill and grand niece and nephews Kenneth (Jaana), Pauline (John Gould) and Philip Barclay; and great grand nieces and nephews Cole, Keira and Holden Churchill and Eva and Alexander Gould. Also survived by Harold's special cousin Margaret Renner and other grand and great grand nieces and nephews. Friends may pay respects at the

on Thursday April 4 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Basil's Roman Catholic Church, 940 Rex Avenue, Ottawa, ON K2A 2P7 (613-729-5149) on Friday April 5 at 10:30 am followed by burial at Pinecrest Cemetery. Reception to follow at St. Basil's Church Hall in remembrance of Kay. In memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Queensway-Carleton Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank Kay's wonderful neighbors Rita and Gordon Lloyd for their extraordinary compassion, care and respect.
