GRAY, Kevin Robert
Peacefully at home, after a short and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by family, Kevin Robert Gray of Merrickville, age 53. Beloved husband of Hope (nee Wiggins). Loving father of Robert, Michael and Chelsea. Dear brother of Steven (Denise), Kathy Talsma (Jake) and David (Wendy). He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Kevin had a successful career in glass art for thirty years. His legacy will be remembered through the beautiful glass pieces he has created and shown in galleries and museums around the world. Kevin was a graduate of Georgian College's Interior Design program (1980), followed by a degree in Crafts and Design (Glass Studio) at Sheridan College (1982). Kevin was an active member of the Merrickville Artist Guild and Chamber of Commerce, serving as Board member and as President. Kevin worked tirelessly to develop the Artist Guild Studio tour, advertise Merrickville as a heritage destination and beautify local park and recreation space. Kevin was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame by the One of a Kind Show, Toronto, for the lasting beauty and quality of his work.
